I turn 35 today 🤯
So in celebration, here are 35 non-cliché life lessons I’ve learned:
1) Most people take life too seriously. Remember to have more fun every day.
2) Anything can be fun. Yes, ANYTHING.
3) People who spend time judging others are miserable themselves. Ignore them (compassionately).
4) See the good, the bad and the weird in everything.
5) Pay attention to the liminal space between sleeping and waking. There’s magic there.
6) Spiritual growth isn’t about escaping your body, but moving through your body.
7) Emotions come and go in waves. Observe and act with this in mind.
8) You can learn something from everyone you meet, and from every situation.
9) Walking outside solves most problems.
10) Patience is so underrated.
11) Dance and sing more often.
12) Wave to strangers sometimes. It’s fun.
13) Ask people interesting questions.
14) The quality of your conversations reveals the quality of your consciousness.
15) Learn to see reality from different perspectives and through different lenses.
16) Smirk more often.
17) Don’t sacrifice your weirdness at the alter of the status quo.
18) Never hold back a genuine compliment.
19) Live every interaction like it’s your last.
20) Find gratitude for the simple things.
21) Do more things that get you into flow state.
22) Share your wisdom to help the collective of humanity evolve.
23) Everyone is a genius in their own unique way.
24) Find the balance between intentional habits and spontaneity.
25) Have enough faith to step into the unknown.
26) Forgive easily. Why hold onto negativity?
27) Write from the heart. Speak from the heart.
28) Learn how to feel safe in your body.
29) Genuine confidence comes from the soul, not the ego.
30) Learn to simplify instead of over-complicate things.
31) Practice noticing things that most people overlook.
32) Inspire yourself without being hard on yourself.
33) What you think are character flaws are actually opportunities.
34) Find a higher purpose (even if you can’t quite put it into words).
35) See everything and everyone as a manifestation of the divine. Practice this.
