Do You Take Your Wisdom Seriously?
I want you to answer this question, just to yourself right now.
Do you take your wisdom seriously?
Most people would say yes, right?
But when it really comes down to it, they don’t.
Note: By “wisdom” I mean your unique brilliance, soul’s messages, unique perspectives, gifts, purpose, life lessons, etc. It’s all of that.
A book is the perfect example, because it’s your wisdom distilled into words. It’s also the perfect example because of the ratio of wannabes to authors.
Everyone says they want to write a book, but few follow through.
Writing a book sounds sexy and enticing. But writing every day? That sounds boring, and like too much work, for most people.
Yet to get the shiny object (a finished book), you need to do the unsexy thing (write every day).
Like Ronnie Coleman hilariously said, “Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift no heavy-ass weights.”
As funny as that classic Ronnie Coleman quote/meme is, it’s so true.
And it applies to a lot more than bodybuilding.
That quote could easily be, “Everybody wants to write a book, but nobody wants to write every day.”
Everyone wants the shiny object, but few are willing to commit to the journey required to get there.
Want to see where your priorities truly are? Look at your habits, not your hopes and dreams. It’s what you do on a daily basis that shows what you prioritize in life.
I’m sharing this for the people who want to write a book, and are willing to align their habits to make it happen.
If that sounds like you, join me for the Divine Write program.
I’ll help you write your book in 90 days.
We start Monday August 13 (soon!).
