Ode to the Inner Alchemist
Act I: The Lesson
An alchemist uses anything and everything for growth
Instead of running from and numbing pain,
the alchemist leans into it
"I wonder what gold,
this pain holds."
Everything is a lesson
Good, bad, ugly, weird
The alchemist learns from it all
And channels it toward evolution
Everything is a blessing
Good, bad, ugly, weird
The alchemist embraces it all
And channels it toward evolution
Everything is effervescent
Bubbling with the emergent light of Source
Act II: The Dragon
The alchemist knows,
that the dragon,
guards the gold
While the average person,
sees the dragon as bad — evil,
and hides from it
The alchemist sees the dragon,
as an ally
A Guardian of inner treasure
Ensuring that the gold,
is only obtained by One who is responsible
The alchemist greets the dragon,
with a wink and a smile,
A mutual acknowledgment of existence
“Hello, old friend,
Thank you for keeping the gold safe.”
The dragon roars
Lets out a blast of fire
A test
The alchemist bows in reverence
Immense respect for the majestic being
No fear
No doubt
Pure beingness
Pure seeingness
Pure willingness
The dragon also bows in reverence
Moves aside
And reveals the gold
Act III: Death & Rebirth
You must be willing to enter the cave
You must be willing to let go of everything
You must be willing to sacrifice your old self
In order to hold the gold
Your old self cannot walk through the door
Hang up the clothes of your ego
Drop its baggage and trinkets
Let the fire of the cave burn it all away
Walk through
Cross the rubicon
Into your new life
