Re: Catharsis (A Poem)
plus raw human commentary
Tangled and mangled in the mind,
dangled — unrefined,
upside-down panic,
hanging at the precipice of what’s next to this,
Wait… what’s next to this?
(starts to journal)
text-to-bliss
Catharsis through simple awareness,
witness The Witness,
the innate shine refines the mind,
shadows disappear,
chains dissolve,
what was once a realm of problems to fight,
was always Isness ~ delight.
Raw Human Commentary
This is a colorful journey of the experience of getting out of your head and into your heart.
It’s the catharsis that comes from simply witnessing your thoughts, emotions, your state of being.
Awareness, in and of itself, is transformative.
Just be acquainting with our inherent awareness, the dysfunction of the ego-mind naturally harmonizes.
On the other hand, the unobserved mind tends to turn into a nightmarish labyrinth fueled by survival fears and programmatic patterns.
But once you’re able to witness, the spark of catharsis reconciles the manic mental activity in presence, awareness, pure delight.
And what’s one of the best ways to initiate this? Journaling.
When you write down your thoughts.. When you’re able to physically see the mental patterns.. The new perspective of observation removes any power your thoughts have over you and places you (or your Awareness) in command of your thoughts.
Other mindfulness practices have similar effects. But there’s something special and visceral that happens when your slow down enough to write your thoughts out and see them in writing.
May you bask in the delight of what is (Isness).
With gratitude,
Stephen Parato

I love this ! Thank you so much for sharing. I definitely think that “Tangled and Mangled” could be used for merchandise. Imagine all people wearing the t-shirts that actually acknowledges the human experience ☺️!
