The Golden Key
A life-changing practice came to me a few weeks ago.
I was contemplating the interface between our body and our energy fields.
(yup, that’s the kind of stuff I think about in my free time lol)
Then, in my next meditation, something unique happened. My awareness became immersed in the life force energy flowing through my body.
It was a convergence of consciousness and energy on a deeper (and more profound) level than I’d ever experienced before.
“That’s it!” I thought. “That’s the key.”
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been strengthening my awareness of the life force energy in, through and around my body.
I get into this state of life force awareness as often as possible.
Note: Life force is known as “qi” in Chinese traditions, “prana” in Hinduism and “ka” in Ancient Egypt — so you might know it by one of those names.
The concept of bringing awareness to your life force might seem simple, but it’s profound (with many levels and implications to it).
It’s been a golden key that’s already opened up many amazing new doors.
Want to know why I choose to call it life force awareness?
Try this.
A Quick Practice
Here’s a quick way to feel the life force in your body:
Close your eyes and bring your awareness inward.
Take 3 slow, deep breaths.
Feel the aliveness — the life force energy — in your body.
Sit with this feeling and relish in it.
Set the intention to anchor this feeling into your body so that you can feel your life force energy even more (or more easily) next time.
Do that practice now (it’ll only take a minute).
Note that everyone feels life force energy differently.
Sometimes it feels like a flow of energy. Sometimes it’s a buzzing sensation. Sometimes it’s an effervescent feeling, like a bubbling. It can also feel warming or cooling.
Either way, you’re alive. And if you pause and tune in, you can feel your aliveness. That’s the point here. Feel your aliveness.
If you’re having trouble feeling the life force in your body, start by bringing your awareness to your heartbeat and the blood flowing in your veins and arteries. This will heighten your inner perception and help you feel the energy in your body more.
It always helps to close your eyes when feeling into your life force energy, because this activates interoception (sensing inside your body).
Practice this “life force awareness” as much as you can throughout the day (both with your eyes open and closed). You get the most benefit from continuous practice. It’s like reps that build a muscle.
The more you practice feeling your life force awareness, the stronger this muscle becomes.
Nervous System Optimization
This is the most profound part for me…
The connection between life force awareness and the nervous system.
Life force awareness is higher awareness, yet it’s also grounding and centering.
You’re able to tap into your intuition, while being fully present in your body.
This is because it’s deeply related with the nervous system.
When I tune into the life force in and around my body, more realizations about the nervous system arise.
In terms of collective understanding, we’ve barely scratched the surface of what the nervous system is and how it functions.
The nervous system is a multidimensional energy and information transducer. Another way to describe it is an information processing interface between our body and energy fields.
Don’t take my word for it. Feel into your life force energy and set the intention of harmonizing your nervous system. Much will be revealed.
I’ve found that life force awareness has a tendency to optimize nervous system function.
Why is this important?
Nervous system optimization helps you:
Clear trauma and emotional blockages
Transcend emotional reactivity
Reconcile looping thought patterns
Avoid stress-induced illnesses and burnout
Maintain healthy organs
Strengthen your immune system
Process information better
Get clearer intuitive messages
When you develop this “life force awareness” and harmonize your nervous system, you’re able to process information in the most optimal way. And everything listed above is a form of information.
Your nervous system is highly advanced and intelligent. Just by creating the space for it to function optimally, it will naturally clear energy blocks, keep your body healthy and attune you to higher wisdom (because that’s what it’s designed to do).
Life force awareness, in conjunction with a healthy nervous system, acquaints you with your Higher Mind. Through this interface of body and energy, you transcend the chatter of the ego and operate from the clarity of your soul.
It’s not just mental either. Because you’re working with energy, you put more power behind everything you do. This amplifies your manifestation abilities, instead of spinning your wheels in airy mental loops.
Life force awareness is the golden key that opens many doors.
Practice this awareness as often as possible.
