"Crazies show up here every day," the guy yelled.
He made a point to intrude on our circle of fun when he overheard that Joe would be living in the building’s royal apartment.
It was quite the building.
An event hall with marble everything, 20+ foot ceilings, and grand Tartarian architecture.
I didn't believe the guy though.
He might’ve been the crazy one.
Reality blipped. I was on the front steps of the building, with this same guy running up to me, just feet away. I kicked at him. The gargantuan, tree-like columns gave me strength and courage. Before the kick landed,
I shifted back into the circle of fun, with no sign of that guy.
Good.
After a few more jokes and laughs, I stepped outside again — this time for “real” — and walked down the regal stairs toward the parking lot.
A couple weeks before I left copies of Sozwik in the free library there. It was like a treehouse built on a big island of grass in the middle of the parking lot. It had beautiful wooden shelves and a big table for reading.
As I stepped onto the wooden platform, I noticed something…
“Someone read it!”
With a pulse of excitement pouring through my heart, I picked up one of the books and opened it.
Handwritten notes. Everywhere.
And not just words, diagrams too — geometric shapes that shaped my consciousness into different shapes and made me decode reality with a new (but familiar) clarity.
I held the book in the air. A celebratory gesture.
When I wrote Sozwik, I knew I was decoding something bigger than me.
But what I didn't realize was its potential to be a feedback spiral, sparking creations from others and growing into collaborative energetic scaffolding for all in resonance.
Light spiraled around me faster and faster. Until…
This was another short story based on a dream I had.
And it ties into my promotion of Sozwik (which you can get here).
Also, let me know what you think of these.
With gratitude,
Stephen Parato

Brand Messaging Upgrades
Along with being an author, I’m a copywriter too. That’s what finances my books (and helps me sharpen my writing skills). Over the years, I’ve written for brands like Prince EA, Empire State University, Robert Kiyosaki, Anik Singal, Daymond John, and more.
I recently opened spots for Brand Messaging Upgrades.
It’s a quick and effective way to clarify your brand’s voice and create content that connects and converts.
