what inspired me this week

Pay attention.
There’s inspiration everywhere.
That’s why I got inspired to share what helped inspired me this week.
And maybe it’ll inspire you too.
Content that Inspired Me
1: My wife’s workshop
My wife Nicole hosted an amazing event yesterday, all about Supernatural Discernment.
It was so activating (to say the least).
I use the word ‘activating’ for a reason, because she guides you through energy work that you feel viscerally. It creates felt shifts in your body (and beingness as a whole).
Nicole also drops some interesting perspectives that sparked some new insights for me too.
Btw you can watch the replay here.
2: Scott Britton’s life updates post
I admire Scott Britton’s approach to life. And how he balances all aspects in a non-judgmental way.
This post, Karma season, AI leverage, and girl-dad round two, is just a list of updates from his life, and I found it inspiring.
3: Seeing how I inspired someone
I felt so much gratitude reading this comment on Threads (from Alana). She said I inspired her to start writing a book, then followed up with this comment.
That’s why I do what I do.
4: Dana Kippel’s post on LinkedIn
I connected with Dana Kippel on LinkedIn a couple years ago, because she’s one of the few people who gets deep into the metaphysics of fiction/storytelling.
This post inspires me to be bolder with connecting with people (and putting myself out there more that way).
5: This new Aesop Rock verse
Aesop’s first verse on this song (starting at 1:11) brought tears to my eyes.
The way he describes transitioning through the awkwardness of small talk into deep, meaningful conversations, and having the courage to be a light for others… It’s just beautiful.
I’ll put the lyrics below.
Where the olive trees flourish
And a branch might expand across an aisle to encourage
Another might shrink away, mercy is imperfect
It nurses what it nurses, but the rest is sure to surface at will
Adamantly practicing the lost art
Of small talking with his community at the dog park
“What kind of dog is that?”
And “Oh yeah, this weather sucks”
And “Oh yeah, I'm actually jettisoning some heavy stuff right now”
Then you spit whole life story out
Too much information from the stranger with the horse's mouth
Nobody here invited a horse
I had to go and make it awkward just to quiet the chorus
And I get that it defied the decorum
But if I center the spirit, the bigger picture is a light in the forest
For more people to come forward to and light their cigars
I was born in New York, I'll retire in the stars
Inspiration from My Direct Experience
Last week I started praying the rosary every morning before meditating.
I’m not religious, but I know prayer is a spiritual technology.
It helps me surrender to, and align with, The Most High God.
It helps me let go and clear my mind.
And it deepens my meditations.
I highly recommend combining prayer and meditation. Starting with prayer is so effective for stilling the mind, then you can drop into a deep meditation (more easily than you would otherwise).
Live the Inspired Life
If you want to live an inspired life, here’s something for you.
I started The Inspired Life Collective.
This is a community of people living a life of creative inspiration and spiritual awakening.
It’s not vague or abstract. It’s not wishful thinking. And it’s definitely not based in hustle culture.
I help you embody the trifold rhythm of the inspired life:
Daily rhythm: the dance between sacred space and flow states (optimizing both spiritual growth and creative output).
Weekly/monthly rhythm: bold experiments.
Big picture rhythm: aligning more with your life purpose.
If any of this resonates with you, step into the community.
I’ll see you there.
With gratitude,
Stephen Parato
